The Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area stretches from 850 to 2353 meters above sea level. It offers skiers 450 km of runs and 108 lifts. They can enjoy fabulous runs facing the extraordinary panorama of Mont-Blanc. The Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area includes Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce, Les Contamines, Megève, Combloux and la Giettaz.
Evasion Mont-Blanc enjoys superb sunshine. You can ski most of the area. Want to get off the beaten track? Discover the beautiful off-piste slopes of Mont-Joly and Saint-Nicolas de Véroce.
There are plenty of high-altitude restaurants on the slopes offering Savoyard specialities, gourmet menus or snack formulas.
The Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area is accessible from Saint-Gervais with the use of a brand new gondola lift, which reaches Le Bettex. The “Saint-Gervais” slope takes you back to Saint-Gervais on skis. You can find the piste map here
15 minutes away and located between 1,200 and 2,500 m altitude, on the border between the Savoie and Haute Savoie, the ski resort of Les Contamines is suitable for every level of skier. With exceptional snow cover and sunshine, the site offers wonderful panoramic views of the Mont Blanc and Beaufortain mountain ranges.The ski runs wind down between valleys, wide slopes, trees, chalets and alpine farms. The village is located on the edge of the Mont-Blanc range. The highest part of the ski area boasts beautiful views of the Mont-Blanc range whilst the lower part runs through the trees. The Mont-Blanc tramway, or TMB as it’s known here, runs from Le Fayet (580 m) to the Nid d’Aigle (2372 m). It takes climbers to the start of the ascent of Mont-Blanc via the voie Royale, and offers contemplative climbers and families safe access to the majestic spectacle of the high mountains.
Alternatively, take the Aiguille du Midi cable car from the Chamonix valley floor to the summit at 3842m (12,605ft ). From the terraces at the top station the views are stunning.
Another way to get closer to the mountains is to catch the Montenvers train. This funicular railway climbs from the valley floor to the impressive Mer de Glace glacier.
